The design style is very simple and uses the films
iconic blue and red colour scheme which is also used on posters to promote the
film. The website is very easy to use and has clear sections in order for the
person viewing the website to find the information they need.
All the titles of
the different sections within the website is listed at the left hand side of
the page where you can select it and it links you to the page. They are a range
different titles which gives you different information which included one
titled ‘video’ which gives you a video trailer from YouTube for Fast & Furious 6. The page
name ‘images’ shows you iconic images of scenes in the film and you can also
download them. The third page is called ‘story’ which informs you of the
storyline in text form, the fourth title is called ‘download’ where you can
download backgrounds for a range of things such as social networking sites such
as Facebook. This is a great way to promote the film for free because when
people use the images from the film as their background when someone views it, it promotes the film. They is another link called ‘get tickets’ which opens up other page where you
can buy tickets, this of course is important so that people can buy tickets to
watch the film and also encourages the person vising the website to buy
tickets. The front page background is a slideshow of different images from the
film which changes every 4-5 seconds and also information of when the film will
be out is placed in bold font. The film also has a game based on the film’s storyline, so they is a
link to the Game store which sells the game and this link is named ‘get the game'. They are also other links of the
website which are more interactive such as a link to where you can play a game
based on the film. The font is very bold and and in big block letters which makes it easy for all people to read, which is important when trying to draw people in.
All these links help inform and promote the film for free, a
website is great way to do this because the audience is about to learn more
about the film and find out information which they may not be able to find out elsewhere.
They also a range of links where the audience can buy merchandise from the
film, this brings in extra revenue aside from the film and reaches out to
different audiences, such as young teenage boys who would find buying the game to
play on their console very exciting. Most importantly the website has both
image links to their different social networking sites so they are able to
reach the younger audience who use internet a lot. This includes sites such as YouTube
which receives over billion views every day and twitter where they are able to interact
with their audience.
